Childhood Immunization Schedule: Cost and List of Vaccines for Baby

As parent, we want to protect our child to the best way we can. Our responsibility is not only by giving food, shelter, clothes, education and other necessity in life but we should also invest in their health. We have to make sure our little one completed their vaccine based on Childhood Immunization Schedule, you will see this chart on the back pages of your baby book. To help our future parents to be, I’ve listed below the vaccines given to Sean from birth up to date including cost, date and place it was given.

BCG (Bacille Calmette-Guerin)protects against tuberculosis / TB

  • Date Given: April 3,2017 ( After birth

Hepa Bprotects against hepatitis B

  • Cost & Place: Hospital : Php1,000 ( *also available in Health Center – FREE )
  • Date Given: April 3,2017 ( After birth )

5 in 1 vaccine / PENTAprotects against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, influenza B and hepatitis B

  • Cost & Place: Health Centers –FREE (*at PEDIA – Php3,500 )
  • Date Given : May 17, 2017 ( 6-weeks ) & June 21, 2017 ( 11-weeks ) & July 19, 2017 (15- weeks)

OPV/IPVprotect against polio

  • Cost & Place: Health Centers –FREE
  • Date Given : May 17, 2017 ( 6-weeks ) & June 21, 2017 ( 11-weeks ) & July 19, 2017 (15- weeks )

PCVprotects against pneumonia and meningitis

  • Cost & Place: Pedia – Php4,500/shot ( *Not available on our Health Center)
  • Date Given : June 14, 2017 ( 10-weeks ) & August 13, 2017 (19 -weeks ) & October 4, 2017 (26-weeks)

RVprotects against rotavirus,a virus that cause severe diarrhea

  • Cost & Place: Pedia – Php3,200/shot ( *Not available on our Health Center)
  • Date Given : June 21, 2017 ( 11-weeks ) & August 13, 2017 ( 19-weeks )

MEASLESprotects against measles

  • Cost & Place: Free on Health Center / Pedia : Php1,000
  • Date Given : To be given on 9 mos. But It was already late when I noticed that Sean didn’t get this vaccine because as per his pedia on his last check up, Sean next vaccine will be after his first birthday unless there’s a measles break out on our place.

MMR protects against measles, mumps and rubella

  • Cost & Place: Pedia – Php1,700/shot ( *Not available on our Health Center)
  • Date Given : April 14, 2018 (1 yr & 2 weeks)

VARICELLA protects against chicken pox

  • Cost & Place: Pedia – Php2,500/shot ( *Not available on our Health Center)
  • Date Given : May 11, 2018 (1 yr & 1 mo.)

Remember that we are not only protecting our child but his friends as well. I will keep on updating this post as soon as Sean completed another vaccine. Kindly take note that cost may not be the same with all pedia’s.
